What would a person's teeth be like after having a 'grill' removed?

We saw a young man in his early 20's with a full metal grill on his top teeth. I'm wondering what happens when he is 80 and wants to have it removed? What about now? How would preventative dental work be done? What would the condition of a person's teeth be like after having a grill on for an extended period of time? Also wondering how they are put on? Are they done in the dentist's office? I am way curious since they are so popular (and very ugly) with the younger crowd these days

Well "grills" are usually done at the dentist office though where I live (Atlanta, Ga) you can pretty much go to just about any Flea Market, and have a "Grill" installed%26gt; LOL I would would imagine that a person who has a "grills" teeth would pretty much rot out of there heads by the time they were 80 as there is little preventative methods to prevent tooth decay, and other oral issues. If you are considering getting one, or you know someone that is, I would advise that they considered one that is removable, or a "pull out grill". Hope this helped!
