Have you ever seen a ghetto "thugish" police officer/cop?

doesnt matter what race, but is he like a gangster in a cop uniform? ok lets assume he's either black or hispanic, does he have cornrows or braids in his hair? does he have visible tattoos? like on the side of his neck, forearm or a teardrop on his face? does he have a grill or gold teeth? does he talk with a hood accent and uses slang words?

i have seen a black cop similar to like what i have just described outside patrolling a strip club i went to. he was metal detecting people to make sure they dont bring in weapons. i am very sure he is a cop and not a security, i saw his badge, gun and uniform.

now i want to know how common is it to see cops like this, i have only seen 1. but maybe i dont go out much into the world so maybe i dont know. now i would like some of your opinions. have you ever seen a ghetto cop? please describe his image for me if you can, thanks.

I've yet to understand why people haven't learned to not judge a book by it's cover!

It doesn't matter if the cop looks thuggish, it doesn't make him a criminal.

Time to break out of the controlled thinking processes you've been taught.

Reply:They exist. Due to the grooming standards of most agencies, you won't see many cops with cornrows or braids. To clarify, you won't see officers that look like this in a uniformed patrol division. The background check is really thorough to become a police officer, so if any past gang activity sprung up, the candidate would examined pretty closely. Also, many departments have rules governing outside employment. Where I work, bouncing at a strip club would be a no-no.
Reply:depending on what unit the officer is in you'll find a different type of officer. i don't think you'll find an intimidating "thuggish" officer at the local elementary school crossing. but you might see him on a gang squad or an apprehension team.
Reply:Well, if it's within department regulations, they can wear their hair that way I suppose... I've never seen one in uniform, but the ones that go selling fake drugs to catch buyers and get them off the streets have to look pretty ghetto to get their job done...
