Mouth grill question?
When you're looking for a mouth grill, you want to be sure you find one that fits you properly and is comfortable to wear. Not only that, you also want your grill to cover your teeth properly so that none of the tooth is showing. In order to do this, you will need to take an impression of your teeth.

A mouth grill impression is very similar to a regular dental impression. Most of the time, it is done by biting into an elastic or plastic type material. The plastic is very soft so it won't hurt your teeth when you bite down, yet it's tough enough to accurately take a proper impression of your mouth and all of the crevices and shapes of your teeth. Once you take the mouth grill impression, you should remove the dental piece carefully and let it dry thoroughly.

When the impression has completely dried, your grill is now ready to be made! The jeweler that you take it to uses the mouth impression as a mold to follow when making the grill. It's important when you take the impression that you bite down on the mold as good as possible to ensure that all of the details of your mouth are left behind. Using impressions are important, because they make sure that you have a well fitting grill that won't slip, crack, or feel uncomfortable. When you shop around for a grill you'll want to find a place that always uses mouth grill impressions to fit their customers. This way you know you're getting quality work.

If you ordered your grill online, be sure the company you order from requires you to send them an impression. You can find grill impression kits online or in some stores for a reasonable price of around ten dollars or so.

But it sounds like you have to fit the grill piece to the shape, yourself after you fit the plastic thing in your mouth..
