Why did MTV say Lil Wayne is the best rapper even though he is one of the worst rappers EVER?

I can't stand wayne's gay laughs in his songs ( I listen to these clowns to see how bad hip hop is right now). He sounds like a retard when he laughs with his grill teeth. He looks like the type of person who back in high school was bullied every day. He raps slow and cannot freestyle. Someone writes his rhyme. Wayne admitted this already. And... he tongue kisses the Bird guy. Fans still like him though. I put his music in the same category as Soulja Boy and Britany Spears. The best? Yea right, he isn't even on the top 50 of best rappers. His music is garbage man. Seriously. Don't believe me? Just listen to this:

Now they have alien music in hip hop because of this guy. I don't even understand what he is trying to act like. He looks like he has down syndrome with his small *** face %26amp; head.

i might be wrong, but that list from mtv i think was only the "hottest mc's in the game" so basically who they thought was the best at that moment...not of all time





and at the time a lot of people thought that da drought 3 was an amazing mixtape and he got a lot of buzz off that, and he was doing a lot of features on other people's songs





and if you look at the entire list, its clearly is not a list of all-time best artists when guys like jim jones, 50 cent, the game and young jeezy are in the top ten...nothing against them, but none of them are all time greats





and besides, at the end of the day, they're just the opinions a few a people...and opinions are like @$$holes, everybody's got one!

Reply:Actually he was pretty good when he was with the Hot Boys. Listen to **** Tha World when he was with them and you'll see but yeah he sucks now. Gillie The Kid writes his **** for him. I' d say the best rapper alive is either nas, Ice Cube, or Scarface. Best ever is either 2pac or Rakim.

Reply:it is true rap nowadays is no where the level it was in the 2pac days, but compared to every other rapper that's out there now lil Wayne is agreeably the second best rapper next to eminem and also by the way you happened to post probably his worst song ever cause he was so messed up.
