I don't know about bad breath, but they will destroy your teeth. A "grill" is a set of crowns over your existing, healthy teeth. The dentist will shave your teeth to a little nub in order to cement the "grill" on to it. So, when you're tired of the look you have to have the crowns replaced. You can't just take them off and go back to a normal smile. No dentist that has an once of ethics will destroy normal, healthy teeth just for a fad anyway.
Reply:Yes - it covers up your teeth so bacteria grows and its bacteria that gives you bad breath.
Reply:grill? braces? or the oh my gosh look at my shiny face kind of grill? proper oral care can really prevent future issues but if it's welded OK glued in then you might well be setting yourself up for trouble......... if you can't get to it to clean it, well it's gonna rot, stink, hurt, and quite honestly.........cost you your real grill..........if it's, hey cool but comes out kind of grill chances are you/ll lose it at the worst time and in front of all.....again personal choice.... i ain't no professor but seems to me " IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT" i'm kinda old school.........a sleeve covers the tatts.... but i'm gonna look pretty lame with a shirt on my head or my teeth in the jar at 30 just because i had a grill......you know???????? tell ya what,,,,,,, try polishing or whitening first and see if you get the reaction your looking for from the grill......... if braces???? your ortho. knows the procedure...
